Àdábọ is perhaps one of the most sophisticated and elaborated forms of Èbò Ifá that work specifically the odu revealed in a dafá (reading) into the enchanted matrix of odù to clear away obstacles, remove negativity and open paths towards one’s goal.
 
Consequently, Àdábọ, through its process, also provides a greater alignment with Orí and Destiny along with spiritual protection, especially from the powers of misfortune, known as Ajọgun.
The ritual is rather lengthy and involves numerous offerings of simple items like herbs, water, ọ̀bì, òrògbo, salt, honey as well as life-force offerings and àdìmú (food offerings).
